AI Can Confirm and Enhance Research, Like It Did in This Ground Breaking Cerebral Cortex Map

For a long time, researchers have been trying to map the brain. Relatively recently, though, scientists made a huge leap by identifying 97 new regions in the brain. Then they needed to verify this research, so they used an AI to check their findings. Not only did the artificial intelligence find 96.6% of the regions the researchers identified, it also showed when an atypical brain differed from the map, meaning it could be used in the future to identify when things don’t quite look right in our brains.
